St. Margaret's School (Primary) is a government-aided Anglican mission school for girls and holds the distinction of being Singapore's oldest girls' school. The school was founded in 1842 by Mrs Maria Dyer as the Chinese Girls' School, the first girls' school in Singapore. It was renamed St. Margaret's School in 1949.
