About This Course
The Nitec in Fashion Apparel Production & Design aims to train students the skills and knowledge to assist fashion designers in the design and product development processes. Students will be able to create and develop innovative prototypes for mass production, from sketching to interpreting basic design sketches, identifying fibres and fabrics, and developing patterns through 2D pattern making and draping techniques. They will also prepare and produce garments, calculate fabric consumption and conduct quality checks for patterns and garments according to industry practices.
