About This Course
This module WSQ Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – level 3 - is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance the visibility and performance of websites in search engine results. Learners will gain proficiency in identifying and implementing appropriate search engine platforms, developing targeted keyword strategies, optimizing website content and structure, applying site code for effective crawling and indexing, creating competitive backlink strategies, and utilizing web analytics tools to monitor and improve SEO performance. By the end of the course, learners will be able to design and execute comprehensive SEO strategies that align with organizational goals and digital marketing trends.
What You'll Learn
• LO1: Recommend search engine platforms / applications that most align to client or organisational requirements.
• LO2: Implement a targeted keyword taxonomy that aligns to target audience behaviour.
• LO3: Design a website embedding keywords in the web content, to enhance page and application design, tags, links (to social network media) and metadata to attract effective search results.
• LO4: Apply site code to instruct and optimise robots, crawlers and indexing for search effectiveness.
• LO5: Create backlinks to determine search terms that are being used by competitors.
• LO6: Regularly review performance of search engine visibility with a web analytics service, and report on web search effectiveness.

Section 2: Introduction to Google Ads, Principles in keyword search and density, planner
Section 3: Content Optimization – Principles of SEO in marketing a website content, in social network media content, Digital media trend in SEO context
Section 4: On-page SEO – URL structure, SEO parameters, Internal and External links
Section 5: Off-page SEO – Links and competitive edge, Advertising links research and strategies
Section 6 – Measurement and Analytics – SEO analytics tools, Performance metrics, Data and reports analysis, SEO development trends, Apply SEO in organisation strategies, Teaming and coordination in SEO optimization, Implementing SEO in marketing strategies
Entry Requirements
• Speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the WPL Level 5, and manipulate numbers at a not lower than the
WPN Level 5
• Minimal education qualification is GCE ‘O’ Level, GCE ‘N’ Level or ITE certificate
• A minimum of one year of employment experience (preferably in sales and marketing)
• Internet and social media savvy (in personal use)
