About This Course
Targeted sector(s) background and needs for the training:
The targeted sector are PMETs in hospitality and retail. With the advancement of technology, employees are required to adopt and utilise basic functions of their mobile devices to address customers’ needs. It is usually in the form of various mobile applications that is used for their organisation, or day-to-day basic applications which will increase customer satisfaction during the buying journey.
Performance gaps / needs that the course will address:
Current situation – There is a push towards an adoption of technology in work processes. Organisations are moving towards using new technology like mobile applications in servicing / engaging with their customers. However, their staff are not equipped with the skills and knowledge to move away from paper / manual processing to using these new applications that are available. There is a gap between implementation of new technology in the work process and the actual performance of these tasks. This is especially so for the more mature workers who are unfamiliar with smartphone usage. They would need a more structured learning process to integrate new skills and knowledge to increase their work efficiency.
Intended situation – Customer service / admin staff would be better able to understand common mobile applications to complete their daily tasks and/or meet customer expectation. They would be able to know the range of mobile applications that are available to them and its respective use cases in different work scenarios.
