About This Course
Participants will learn how to:
a. Engage effectively with older adults and stakeholders to identify changing needs.
b. Identify trends and societal factors relating to managing an ageing population.
c. Provide solutions to promote optimal ageing.
What You'll Learn
This module covers topics such as volunteer management, client centric values and customer service, communication, teamwork, workplace safety, quality management, managing resources, and professional development and self-care. Through this module, participants will gain the skills required in becoming an effective team player who is able to provide quality service with given resources.
Entry Requirements
At least a Polytechnic Diploma, or ITE Technical Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/Work-Learn Technical Diploma.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
