About This Course
Participants will learn how to:
a. Engage effectively with older adults and stakeholders to identify changing needs.
b. Identify trends and societal factors relating to managing an ageing population.
c. Provide solutions to promote optimal ageing.
What You'll Learn
This module will examine emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual issues that may arise in the process of dying, and the roles that family, support staff and Intermediate and long term care (ILTC) providers play in supporting the terminally-ill in the community and inpatient settings. Participants will be equipped with knowledge and skills to contribute to advanced care planning and implement advanced care directives.
Entry Requirements
At least a Polytechnic Diploma, or ITE Technical Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/Work-Learn Technical Diploma.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
