About This Course
Module 1: Introduction to Business Valuation
At the end of this module, participants will gain knowledge and skills in:
1. Code of Ethical Principles for Professional Valuers by the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC)
2. International valuation standards, valuation-related financial reporting standards
3. Concept of value, bases and premise of value
4. Valuation terminologies, valuation context
5. Roles of business valuation and the valuer, Skills and competencies of a valuer
6. Valuation principles, valuation process and practice standards of a valuer
7. Valuation report contents, including sections of the report and report disclosure standards
8. Information collection, research and analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
9. Performing accounting, financial, management and prospective analysis. Build a reasonable and unbiased financial statement model in Excel. Understand the role of valuer in financial forecasting. Factors to consider in making appropriate assumptions in forecasting. Deal with uncertainty in forecasts, data and data availability.

Entry Requirements
