Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites
About This Course
WSQ “Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites” is a
mandatory WSH training course for all workers working in construction.
Construction workers are required to go through the course before they
start work. After the course, the trainees should be able identify their own roles and
responsibilities in a construction job, follow safe work procedures, adopt
relevant risk control measures when working at height and respond to
fire emergencies.

CE 1: Identify own roles and responsibilities as an employee in a construction job
CE 2: Follow safe work procedures in a construction job
CE 3: Follow safe “Work-at-Height” procedures
CE 4: Respond to fire emergencies
Entry Requirements
Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
• Have employment status as manual labour to carry out construction
work in building and engineering construction worksites
• Be medically fit.
• Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level
equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to
Employability Skills (ES) level 2
• Have good organisational skills
• Be able to follow written and oral work instructions
