About This Course
Apply Workplace Safety & Health in Process Plant is one of the core
units in all process sectors of Process Industry. It specifies the skills and
knowledge required by people to Apply Workplace Safety & Health in
Process Plant.

CE 1: Identify the roles and responsibilities of an employee under WSH
Act
CE 2: Identify and prevent fire and explosion hazards at workplace
CE 3: Comply safe work practices and control measures for material
handling
CE 4: Comply safety work practices and control measures for mechanical
and electrical works
CE 5: Comply safe work practices and control measures when working on
Specialized Operations
CE 6: Comply safe work practices and control measures when working at
heights
CE 7: Comply safe work practices and control measures when working in
a confined space
What You'll Learn
application skills to carry out hazard identification and risk assessment,
comply with the safety and health management system, co-ordinate a
permit-to-work system, and carry out safety inspections and
investigations.
Entry Requirements
Learners are assumed to:
have basic knowledge of PPE
know how to use basic PPE provided at workplace
be able to follow written and oral work instructions
be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level
equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 2
be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to
Employability Skills System (ESS) level 2
Have demonstrated competency for the Competency Unit to be delivered
Have at least three (3) years of relevant industry experience at supervisory
or managerial level, including evidence of maintaining currency
Be certified competent in preparation, delivery and evaluation of training
sessions or relevant National Trainer Competency Standards certification
(Full ACTA/ACLP)
Have completed Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health or its equivalent or higher
