About This Course
At the end of this 2-day module, participants will be able to:
• Understand the overarching types of questions in business analytics
• Run clustering algorithms for customer segmentation and journey mapping
• Create recommender systems for personalisation
What You'll Learn
In this first module, participants will learn about types of business analytics questions and the analytic methods that can be applied to answer them. The module will teach participants about unsupervised machine learning with K-means and hierarchical clustering. They will learn how to build a recommendation system (based on collaborative and content-based filtering) and conduct a market basket analysis. They will understand the conditions under which to answer questions that require customer segmentation and personalisation, and learn how to execute computational business analytics for segmentation and personalisation.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have some knowledge or experience in Python programming (equivalent to that attained in SMU Academy's Professional Certificate in Python Programming programme).
