• Learn the valuation techniques commonly used in valuing investments in venture capital industry
• Apply key valuation techniques including discounted cash flow, comparable multiple models and standard deviation returns in the evaluation of investment opportunities
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the challenges in the valuation process
• Design and implement a valuation scorecard that takes into consideration common pitfalls during the valuation process
What You'll Learn
A mark of successful venture capitalists (VCs) is how they value an investment and the methodologies they adopt to reflect their key considerations. It is important for VCs to recognise and implement prevailing/ industry norms during valuation in order to determine a fair value for the investment. This module focuses on the different valuation techniques and methodologies used by VCs.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have at least 2 years of working experience with interest in Venture Capital management/ practices.
