Module 2: Sound Recording Operations
• Acquire skills for location sound recording
• Selecting appropriate equipment for recording
• Testing, setup, microphone placement, audio monitoring, and documentation during recording
Module 3: Sound Design and Creation
• Understanding and designing sound
• Achieving technical specifications and necessary sound effects for film/ content production
Module 4: Sound Editing (Level 3)
• The recording process of Sound recording in a studio
• Planning studio recordings, proposing technical solutions, and producing recordings meeting artistic and technical needs
Module 5: Sound Editing (Level 4)
• The creative process of Sound editing for production
• Working on a digital audio workstation: setting up, importing media, synchronising audio to pictures, editing, exporting, and archiving
Module 6: Video Editing
• Fundamentals in video post-production
• Ingesting, editing, and mastering Video for content delivery
Module 7: Media File Formats Conformation (Sound Editor)
• Learn the industry quality standards and how to assess footage quality
• Conformation, solutions, and technologies for post-production efficiency
Entry Requirements
Academic Level Required:
Obtain Pass Grade in GCE N-Level subjects including English (or IELTS overall band score 5 and above or equivalent) and 2 other subjects or equivalent

English
Work Experience Required:
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements may still apply and will be considered based on: At least 1 year working experience in any industry; and/or Oral interview or evaluation test by Singapore Media Academy to determine suitability for the course.
