What You'll Learn
The social service sector aims to ensure vulnerable individuals are identified and cared for. Achieving these goals require multiple stakeholders (government bodies, social service agencies, enablers and volunteer groups, etc.) to be responsive to a constantly changing social service environment. The modules in the Advanced Certificate in Social Service Analytics aim to develop participants' competencies to obtain deep insights through data analytics to support the social service ecosystem.
Module 1 provides the foundation for participants to undertake analysis in the social service ecosystem. Additionally, participants will receive hands-on instruction on setting social services Key Performance Indicators meaningfully and use descriptive social service metrics such as practitioners’ hours spent on social service interventions, time taken to respond to contact or to complete an intervention, average time taken per case in the right way. Poor use of social service metrics leads to misleading information being presented to stakeholders and the public.
