About This Course
The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical) aims to develop specialty nurses with a well-developed knowledge base and specialist skills in both the technological and the caring dimensions of their respective specialty to make sound and rapid clinical judgements within a complex care environment, and to provide optimal holistic care to clients requiring specialty nursing.
What You'll Learn
The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical) courses will be offered full-time over 33 weeks. Total curriculum is 860 hours comprising 420 hours of academic studies and 440 of clinical practice. The following PDCs are covered under this programme:
1. Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Medical-Surgical Nursing (210 hrs)
2. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Medical-Surgical Nursing 1 (120 hrs)
3. Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Medical-Surgical Nursing (210 hrs)
5. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Medical-Surgical Nursing 2 (320 hrs)
1. Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Medical-Surgical Nursing (210 hrs)

Entry Requirements
• Diploma in Nursing from a local Polytechnic or an equivalent qualification;
• Singapore Nursing Board registration;
• 2 years post registration experience with a minimum of 1 year in the discipline of study.
