About This Course
The Social Media Marketing course targets digital marketing personnel to enhance the individual's knowledge about the customer buying journey and ability to create and execute marketing campaigns that require websites, landing pages, and product pages. It has six learning units sequenced from the fundamentals of social media platforms (e.g., key features of each social network like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube) to the step-by-step process of implementing a social media marketing campaign.
What You'll Learn
Upon completion of this course, trainees will be able to define social media marketing and describe its importance in today's digital marketing landscape, including:
● selecting the right mix of social media platforms for an organisation to engage clearly defined audiences to achieve a set of marketing objectives
● implementing research methods through the use of social media tools to discover social media opportunities and identify any gaps
● planning a comprehensive social media strategy involving the building of a customer avatar and matching of social media marketing goals to customer objectives
● proposing the most effective social media campaign activities for each channel, based on the best practices in content creation and management
● evaluating and determining the most suitable social media content types, styles and modes of delivery across the different social media platforms
● interpreting social media marketing results and navigating social media analytics tools
● designing and implementing a social media Community Management Plan to deal with audiences at the different stages of brand engagement

Entry Requirements
● 1 GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent; OR
● NITEC/Higher NITEC; OR
● Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years’ work experience); OR
● Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
