About This Course
The goal of the course is to introduce learners to the various levels of design process, phases and their automation capabilities as well as study the IC design basics, levels, strategies, options, methods, styles, challenges, economics and trends.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
1. Understand the key steps and challenges in digital design flow.
2. Define the design goals and manufacturing options.
3. Appreciate the process/steps in digital design flow.
4. Describe and establish the digital design flow using Synopsys DC Compiler (Design Compiler) and IC Compiler.
5. Appreciate the challenges in digital and IC Design
What You'll Learn
With a focus on imparting knowledge in the various levels of design process, phases and their automation capabilities, and the study of the integrated circuit (IC) design basics, levels, strategies, options, methods, styles, challenges, economics and trends.
This course comprises 14 hours of lectures and 9 hours of enriching hands-on laboratory sessions ensure mastery at both conceptual and practical application levels. This transformative experience moulds you into a proactive and adaptive thinker, primed for the challenges and innovation-driven demands of advanced manufacturing.
Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for individuals who wish to join or progress within the Engineering Services in the manufacturing/digital electronics industry. Prior knowledge in basic electronics and circuit theories, and in at least one programming language will be an advantage.
