(eCornell) Building Systems, Engineering, and Equipment Management

Training Provider: GENASHTIM
Course Reference: TGS-2023038525
S$700

About This Course

In this course, you will explore the common issues, consequences, and solutions for the maintenance of building systems, including the building envelope (facade, windows, and doors), water, electricity, lighting, and heating/ ventilating/air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Once you have a handle on how these systems work, you will be able to identify areas for improved efficiency, which will, in turn, reduce cost and environmental impact. You will find that improved efficiency relies heavily on the monitoring techniques and preventative maintenance schedules explored in this course. The course is provided by eCornell in partnership with Genashtim

What You'll Learn

Evaluate how building systems integrate to provide services to the occupants
Examine the functions of the major mechanical equipment components of a building while identifying potential issues, assessing the consequences of system failure, and proposing possible solutions
Assess standard maintenance activities performed, considering sustainability and efficiency options to reduce cost and environmental impact
Create a sample preventative maintenance schedule
