Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing
About This Course
This course, "Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing," is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Additive Manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing. Students will gain a foundational understanding of AM. The course will introduce the history of AM and various AM technologies, such as Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA), and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). Pre-processing challenges will be covered, including Design for AM (DfAM) principles, software tools for 3D modeling, and data preparation.
They will learn about process optimization, fine-tuning, and techniques to enhance the overall AM process.
