Accelerating Open Innovation Adoption in SMEs
About This Course
The course will delve into the fundamentals of open innovation and explore strategies for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to expedite the adoption of Open Innovation (OI) in their innovation journey. Additionally, the instructor will discuss how SMEs can leverage various public open innovation intermediaries in Singapore to discover innovative solutions for their business challenges.
The course is structured to offer participants a hands-on learning experience aimed at enhancing their understanding of how to leverage OI. Firstly, participants will engage in discussions on local SME cases that have effectively implemented OI. These case studies serve to reinforce comprehension and illustrate practical applications of OI in the context of SMEs and their innovation projects. Secondly, there will be a dialogue session featuring key executives from local OI marketplace providers such as A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM), Innovation Partner for Impact (IPI), and other Centres of Innovation from institutions like Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) or the Polytechnics. This session aims to assist SMEs in gaining access to external knowledge and technical expertise through collaboration with these ecosystem partners.
