About This Course
The Advanced Certificate in IT Infrastructure and Operations aims to equip the trainees with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills in managing and optimising IT infrastructure. It consists of seven structured and progressive modules, including a capstone project aiming to equip the trainees with the essential skills and knowledge to design, develop, and deliver a significant project in one of two key areas: Penetration Testing Campaign or Cloud Computing Solution.
1. The Advanced Hardware and Software Troubleshooting module has five learning units covering advanced hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
2. The Advanced Network Administration module has four learning units that allow trainees to attain the fundamental knowledge and skills related to computer hardware and peripherals, focusing on providing the trainees with hands-on learning.
3. The Systems and Server Administration module comprises eight learning units focusing on equipping trainees with a deep understanding and practical skills essential for managing modern server environments.
4. The Cloud Computing module has five learning units that allow trainees to design, oversee, and execute cloud computing components for infrastructure and operations.
5. The Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking module consists of four learning units aiming to build trainees’ ability to distinguish the advanced cyber security concepts.
6. The Emerging Technologies and Trends module has five learning units focusing on the various technologies that are pivotal in forming a digital workplace.
7. The Capstone Project: Real-world IT Project module comprises five learning units that aim to equip the trainees with the essential skills and knowledge to design, develop, and deliver a significant project in one of two key areas: Penetration Testing Campaign or Cloud Computing Solution.
What You'll Learn
● Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques, including complex diagnostic methods, hardware diagnostics, and software debugging, to resolve hardware and software issues efficiently through collaborative problem-solving.
● Assemble, upgrade, and troubleshoot PCs, including BIOS optimisation and boot process management to enhance hardware performance and reliability.
● Manage server environments, including hardware selection, configuration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, storage solutions, server virtualisation, high availability, disaster recovery strategies, and backup services on Windows servers.
● Design and manage cloud computing infrastructure, configure virtual networks, manage cloud storage and virtual machines, and troubleshoot common cloud networking problems, grounded in an understanding of cloud concepts, service models, and deployment models.
● Utilise advanced cybersecurity and ethical hacking techniques, including penetration testing, incident response management, and digital forensic methodologies, to enhance organisational security.
● Analyse the impact of emerging technologies on the digital workplace, including AI, Blockchain, IoT, and cloud computing, to propose transformative enterprise solutions based on market trends and technological advancements.
● Design, develop, and deliver a significant IT project in Penetration Testing or Cloud Computing, solidifying practical experience and preparing for real-world challenges.
