Advanced Logic Implementation
About This Course
This is an intensive course for digital integrated circuit implementation, covering the topics of Synthesis Strategies, Synthesis Constraints, Advanced Floorplanning, Clock Tree Synthesis, Advanced Placement and Routing, Power Optimization, On-Chip Variation (OCV) and Physical Verification. In depth concepts and theory of every step of logic implementation are first discussed, followed by hands-on exercises to familiarize learners with industry-standard tools. This allows learners to bring their digital circuit design from its Hardware Description Language (HDL) code to layout, and acquire the relevant skills and knowledge required along the way.
This course is intended for engineers or personnel working in or intending to upskill for a career switch to the manufacturing/digital electronics industry. Participants are required to have attended the Basic Logic Implementation course and acquired fundamental knowledge of logic implementation concepts.
What You'll Learn
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Explain Advanced Logic implementation concepts and steps.
- Understand and apply Compile Strategies.
- Understand and set synthesis constraints
- Understand the concept of Advanced Floorplanning.
- Understand and apply the concept of Clock Tree Synthesis.
- Understand and apply Advanced Placement and Routing technique.
- Understand and perform power optimization.
- Understand and explain On-chip variation.
- Understand and explain Physical Verifications.
Entry Requirements
This programme is suitable for learners who wish to join or progress within the Engineering Services in the manufacturing/digital electronics industry. Prior knowledge in basic electronics, circuit theories, logic design and basic logic implementation are required.
