(SCTP Module) 3D Animation and Modelling (Classroom and Asynchronous)
About This Course
3D (three-dimensional) Modelling and Animation introduces students to the fundamentals of 3D modelling techniques and creation of animated scenes. Students will practice primary approaches to 3D modelling techniques (compound modelling, modifier modelling, meshes, splines, etc.). Students will also learn the primary approaches to material creation, texturing for models. Scene composition, scene lighting, camera position and rendering modes will be practiced. The basic approaches to animation will also be explored (keyframing, curves etc.). These skills can be applied to a wide variety of practices from spatial design to character and object design, for a wide range of platforms from the web, to designing for stage and games.
What You'll Learn
2. Assemble a cohesive 3D scene by effectively utilizing lighting, camera, and rendering techniques.
3. Produce an animated 3D scene and sequences based on a given brief.
