Advanced Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations
About This Course
The course aims at providing training at an advanced level for for personnel engaged in sea transport sector such as Masters, Chief Engineer Officers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers and any person onboard Liquefied Gas tankers who have immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging, care in transit, handling of cargo, tank cleaning or other cargo-related operations on liquefied gas tankers. The course is approved to meet all the requirements under Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) convention Chapter V, Section A-V/1-2 para 2. This certificate is pre-requisite to obtain ‘Dangerous Cargo Endorsement’ (DCE) from Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). DCE is a mandatory document for Senior shipboard officers and engineers.
What You'll Learn

This course is designed to deliver in accordance with the requirements of Section A-V/1-2 of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) STCW Code, as applicable to the operations on Liquefied Gas Tankers, and also the guidance in IMO Model Course 1.05. This course equips such personnel to gain relevant knowledge and proficiency under STCW regulations.
Entry Requirements
This course is open to deck and engineering officers who have completed a basic fire fighting training recognised by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), and who have relevant experience appropriate to their duties on liquefied gas tankers.
