About This Course

For participants with basic or no programming background, this module can help them to take the first step in their digital upskilling journey and further build a better foundation in programming.

What You'll Learn

The module aims to help participants to learn their first programming language and to equip them with fundamental problem solving concepts. Participants will be competent in using programming for basic problem solving. They will also gain an understanding of functions, arrays and user-defined objects in programming. Participants will then be competent in using a range of algorithms and data structures in solving basic programming problems.

By the end of the module, participants will be able to:
1. Apply problem solving concepts in designing and developing computer programs.
2. Implement the use of data types, operators, selection control structures and repetition control structures in computer programs.
3. Define and execute programming functions in computer programs.
4. Implement Arrays and Objects in computer programs.
