About This Course
This course aims to meet the increasing and urgent demand for companies to provide high quality, transparent, reliable and comparable sustainability reporting and disclosures which meet the needs of investors and other financial market learners. Learners will examine the main features of sustainability reporting framework, such as governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets. They will understand how the concept of materiality shapes the variation in sustainability issues across different industries. Key emphasis will be on the provision of information about a company’s significant sustainability-related risks and opportunities that are useful to primary users of financial reporting in deciding whether to provide resources to the company. They will be able to develop a relevant and accurate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory for an organisation.
What You'll Learn
• Describe and explain the key reporting requirements from international sustainability reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Reporting Standards Board (SASB) and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
• Interpret and analyze the information content of sustainability reports from a user perspective.
