Installation Best Practices for Solar PV Systems
About This Course
A hallmark of a solar professional is being able to install and set up a PV system. This one-day course introduces learners to the essential knowledge and best practices for installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Designed for ground-level technicians and new entrants to the solar engineering workforce, the course focuses on real-world applications of solar PV installation.
Learners will be guided through the identification of system components, safety protocols, basic installation procedures, and visual inspection techniques. The course emphasizes safe and effective work practices aligned with industry standards and is suitable for individuals with foundational technical experience or qualifications.
Through a mix of classroom lectures, visual aids, group discussions, and guided walkthroughs, learners will develop the practical understanding needed to function as part of an on-site PV installation team. A final assessment will evaluate both technical knowledge and application skills.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to Identify key components of a solar PV system and explain their functions in the installation process, perform basic installation tasks and evaluate installation quality by visually inspecting components in compliance with industry standards.
