About This Course
At the end of the course, the participants will:
• Understand mobile networks from 1G to 5G
• be able to articulate the features and functions of a 5G network
• be able to state the criticality of softwarization, Cloud, and microservices in 5G deployments
• understand Management and charging in 5G networks and devices
• appreciate the security of 5G at a high level
• get updated on the latest global industry deployments of 5G, technical and economic real-life use cases and design considerations
What You'll Learn
In this course, we will start with the foundations of 5G mobile technology to bring everyone to a common level. Then we will discuss the hows and whys 5G is deployed on Cloud infrastructure to give High network speed, low latency, high Quality-of-Service and Private 5G networking,
Finally, this course is application solution-focused. We will discuss how the above 5G technology and features are used in solutions of different industry verticals such as Industry 4.0, Media and Entertainment, Healthcare, Agriculture, Logistics and Public Safety. More importantly, we will deep dive into a few examples to show end-to-end solution development. For each solution, the workshops will cover areas such as Industry Business Drivers, Solution Ecosystems, Integration Points, Solution Resilience, Cybersecurity, Cost vs Benefits Analysis, Design Tradeoffs, and Comparison of 5G against Alternate Fixed and Wireless Technologies.
To complete a top-to-bottom view of 5G applications, the implications of 5G network and device management, and 5G real-time charging and roaming in solution design will also be discussed.
