About This Course
On Completion of the course, learners attain the knowledge and abilities to;
1. Coordinate the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRPs) for a range of Contingencies.
2. Identify Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) hazards, unsafe work conditions and/or practices and recommend reasonably practical control measures at the workplace for a number of key industries.
3. Promote a common set of attitudes, behaviors and competencies as the essential components of organisational workplace safety and health (WSH) culture.
4. Respond to workplace safety and health (WSH) incident and contribute suggestions to prevent future recurrences.
5. Plan and conduct workplace safety and health (WSH) inspection, monitor
compliance and compile reports on the WSH performance
6.Coordinate formulation, implementation and management review of workplace safety and health (WSH) policies.
7. Coordinate organisation’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System in compliance with WSH Act, relevant regulations and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP).
8. Use methods and equipment to communicate appropriate ideas and information to the target audience and perform effective listening and speaking skills in verbal communications

On completion of the course, participants will gain the knowledge and skills for fulfilling the roles of a WSH Coordinator.
This course is a recognized qualification for registration as a WSH Coordinator under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
Entry Requirements
Mandatory Requirements – Pre-Requisite
ES WPLN Level 5 OR GCE ‘N’ Level English Grade 5 and Mathematics Grade 5;
AND
Possess WSH Skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH;
AND
Have at least 1 year of WSH relevant working experience
AND
Completed 2 Pre-Requisite Modules, with 1 module coming from Group 1 (Industry Modules) and 1 module coming from Group 2 (Soft Skills)
