About This Course

This module is part of the Diploma in Applied Science (Urban Agricultural Technology).

What You'll Learn

Through this module, students will become familiar with important enablers of successful businesses – government policies, regulations, financing, human resources and “Freedom to Operate”.The regulations governing the operations and management of agricultural business in Singapore will be reviewed. Students will also be made aware of sources of funding available from agencies like Enterprise Singapore and AVA, and through other fund-raising platforms like cloud sourcing.

Entry Requirements

" At least 3 ‘O’ Level passes in the following subjects:
- English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 – 7
- Any Science subject Grade 1 – 6
- Any 1 relevant subject subject Grade 1 – 6
and at least 1 year relevant work experience

• GPA ≥ 2.0
OR
• GPA ≥ 1.5 AND at least 1 year relevant work experience

Nitec
• GPA ≥ 3.5
OR
• GPA ≥ 3.0 AND at least 1 year relevant work experience
Higher Nitec in Technology/Services
• GPA ≥ 2.0 AND at least 1 year relevant work experience

WSQ
• Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) AND at least 1 year relevant work experience AND Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA

• Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 2 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness.
