PWM-Food Services: WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3 (Assessment Only Pathway)
About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Food Services Sector.
Food establishments such as Food Processing Establishments, Coldstores, Canteens, Caterers, Food courts, and Restaurants are required to have a Food Hygiene Officer (FHO). To become qualified as an FHO, the designated staff member must complete the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3.
The Assessment Only Pathway (AOP) is a training option offered by SSG which allows individuals to obtain WSQ qualification by only undergoing the assessment without attending training.
What You'll Learn
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of food safety practices, including compliance with local regulatory requirements
• Identify and describe the various types of pre-requisite programs implemented in food establishments
• Appy various methods to conduct food safety and hygiene inspections in food establishments.
• Apply HACCP principles and Food Safety Management System to control food safety hazards
Entry Requirements
• GCE N Level pass in English (Grade D and above) or equivalent, or WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 and above
• Participants should have the ability to speak, read and write in simple English
• Any Food Safety Management System e.g. SS444, SS590, ISO22000, FSSC22000 etc. Internal/ Lead Auditor Certificate
