About This Course
数学是思维的体操,也是现代科学技术的基础和工具。数学修养是二十一世纪人才的必备素养之一。向学前儿童进行数学启蒙教育,培养他们对数学活动的兴趣,引导他们通过探索建构初步的数学概念,并发展儿童的思维能力、创造力和解决问题的能力,为入学学习和终身发展打下基础。学前儿童数学教育是以学前儿童认知发展理论和学前教育理论为基础的一门理论性和实践性很强的学科。为此,教师必须了解学前儿童数学学习的基本规律和特点,掌握设计、指导学前儿童数学活动,创设物质环境和条件,提供儿童与成人和同伴交往的机会,利用家庭社区等教育资源,评价儿童数学发展的方法与技巧等,才能使儿童获得良好的数学教育。

Entry Requirements
Local Qualifications
• 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits, including a credit at least C6 in CL1* OR
• 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits and Chinese Language Acceptable Alternatives*
Foreign Qualifications
• 10 years of formal education in Chinese and passed state exam with credits in 5 different subjects including a credit at least a C6* in GCE ‘O’ level CL1 or Chinese Language Acceptable Alternatives* OR
• 10 years of formal education not in Chinese and passed state exam with credits in 5 different subjects and at least a B4 in GCE ‘O’ level CL1 or Chinese Language Acceptable Alternatives* OR
• Degree with Chinese as medium of instruction from state recognized university+ OR
• Degree not in Chinese as the medium of instruction from state-recognized university+ and at least a B4 in GCE ‘O’ level CL1 or Chinese Language Acceptable Alternatives*
