(PDECCE-T) Music and Creative Movement for Young Children
About This Course
Creative expression in early years is pivotal in the development of the whole child. Studies have shown that musical experiences in childhood can actually accelerate brain development, particularly in the areas of language acquisition and reading skills. Movement, the natural partner to music, is a powerful learning tool for young children. The bodily movement stimulate all senses and the brain which promote learning, creative expression and physical development.
In this module, students will focus on the importance of art experiences and how to incorporate music and movement into early childhood education.
