(PDECCE-T) Professional Development, Reflective Practice and Continuous Learning
About This Course
Early childhood educators have a major influence in the lives of young children, and the use of many talents and skills are required in teaching. They are also expected to be models of communication and interpersonal skills in their interactions with children, parents and colleagues. Teachers need a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities, continuity in evaluating own performance and identify needs for professional growth.
This module explores and identify one’s own professional learning needs, demonstrate commitment and participate in continuing professional development through engaging in current research, key trends and various modes of professional practice. It also includes the ability to engage in reflective practice and open and honest communication with colleagues to seek feedback on professional practice.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have:
* 5 GCE ‘O’ level credits including a grade C6 in GCE ‘O’ level English Language OR Any English Language Acceptable Alternatives
OR
* 10 years of formal education in English as a medium of instruction and passed state exam with credits in 5 different subjects OR required to pass English Language
OR
* Degree with English as medium of instruction from state recognised university OR required to pass English Language Acceptable Alternatives
