WSQ E-Commerce – Shopify Optimisation
About This Course
The current trend in marketing for retail has moved towards e-commerce, and retail companies need to constantly innovate the move towards online. Since COVID-19, it has become crucial for retail companies to move into the online space.
This course will train learners to understand and apply key learnings on e-commerce strategies by setting up an e-commerce shop using Shopify, understanding the legal requirements and guidelines of setting up e-commerce shop, develop a plan for online store marketing and establish metrics to determine technical and user experiences.
What You'll Learn
1. Determine the technical and user experience requirements for building a Shopify store based on UX design and functionality considerations
2. Evaluate guidelines and requirements for website design and possible legal implications
3. Communicate design plans and requirements to relevant parties
4. Develop comprehensive implementation plans for online store, including the allocation of digital space and maintenance of website content, in alignment with the marketing, brand and/or e-commerce strategy
5. Evaluate website based on established metrics on technical and user experiences
Entry Requirements
Aged 21 years old and above
Minimum 1 GCE ‘O’ level credit
Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level (WPLN) Level 4
Able to perform basic Microsoft Office functions on the computer
Learners will be informed of the minimum entry requirements prior to enrollment. Screening will not be conducted prior to the course.
However, should the trainer or course liaison deem any learner to be unsuitable for the course, the learner will be advised to discontinue the course as it would be ineffective for them and potentially disruptive for the rest of the class.
