About This Course
An infant toddler caregiver’s greatest tool in understanding each child is the ability to watch the child with the desire to understand the child’s actions. Observation forms the foundation of early childhood programmes. It helps to gather information on young children and enables caregivers to understand children’s actions, needs and development, and make decisions to plan and design appropriate programmes to support children’s learning and development. In this module, students will explore the basic observation techniques and documentation.

c. Gain an in-depth understanding of each child
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have:
a. Minimum Secondary 2* or minimum 8 years of formal education * and
b. At least an average SOA 4 in the WPL series
*Official documents are required to show completion of 8 years of education. Medium of instruction is to
be in English.
