(ACECCE) Programme for Toddlers
About This Course
There are profound differences between toddlers and preschoolers. There should not be a one size programme that fits both toddlers and preschoolers as such programme will be too large and too impersonal to toddlers. This module focuses on the components of a quality programme for toddlers in group care and how to provide for their needs, growth, and interests day to day. The importance of the educator's role, building relationships with children and parents, teaching approaches and techniques, materials, methods for developing ageappropriate curriculum and setting up learning environments will be included. Students will also learn how to plan; design and present activities for areas of the toddler curriculum based on observations of their development and needs.
