(ACEY/CCP) Assist in Planning and Implementing of Developmentally Appropriate Teaching, Learning and Caregiving Approaches Aligned to Curriculum Frameworks Part B: Planning Play and Learning Experiences for Infants and Toddlers
About This Course
This module focuses on the components of a quality programme for infants and toddlers in group care and how to provide for their needs, growth, and interests day to day. The importance of the caregiver's role, building relationships with children and parents, an examination of criteria for quality infant / toddler curriculum are also covered. Approaches, techniques, and materials to use in caring for infants and toddlers in a group setting, methods for developing age-appropriate curriculum and setting up learning environments will be included. With the educational functions of play, emphasis will be given using play to enrich the infant / toddler curriculum. Students will also learn how to plan, design and present activities for areas of the infant / toddler curriculum based on observations of their development and needs and how to keep records of these observations.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have:
a. Minimum Secondary 4 education* or completed 10 years of formal education* and
b. At least an average SOA in the WPL series, including an SOA 5 for WPL-Writing
*Official documents are required to show completion of 10 years of education. Medium of instruction is to be in English.
