Understanding the nutritional needs of Infants and Toddlers' mental health is crucial; meals should be well-balanced and appropriate for each developmental stage. Inculcating healthy eating habits from a young age is paramount. Food preferences developed during these early years often persist into adulthood. Hence, proper nutrition is critical in the early years of life to support healthy brain development, as well as physical and socio-emotional development. Children with good mental health are generally positive, confident, happy, contented, and able to relate to familiar adults and peers. Educators should contribute to a child’s mental health by being nurturing, responsive, positive, and unconditionally accepting. They should observe, listen, pay attention to each child, respond appropriately, share with parents the proper way to handle their child, understand their child’s needs and feelings, and enhance their wellness, ensuring they grow up happily and healthy.
