About This Course

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Assess and identify the clinical care needs of geriatric patients (of the disease states and/or conditions covered)
2. Provide patient-specific recommendations relating to pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy interventions to meet the clinical care needs of geriatric patients

Specific learning objectives will also be provided for each topic

What You'll Learn

This course is aimed at having students gain a fundamental understanding of the diagnosis and therapeutic management of disease states and/or conditions unique to the geriatric population.

The topics covered will be applicable to pharmacists involved in care for geriatric patients in all care sectors.

Entry Requirements

The candidate must have / be:
(1) Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (with or without Honours classification) or an equivalent qualification

(2) Registered pharmacists with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (or overseas equivalent), and holding a current and valid practicing certificate

(3) At least 2 years of working experience as a patient-care pharmacist post pre-registration training (preferably)
