About This Course
This course aims to equip trainers with the basic proficiency to conduct strength, balance and flexibility (SBF) exercises. It introduces functional assessments as an impact measurement of function such as performing daily tasks in participants. Trainers will be familiar with the objectives of functional assessments and the ability to interpret the assessment results and provide follow-up exercise recommendations.
What You'll Learn
At the end of this course, trainers should be able to:
- perform functional assessment protocols safely and accurately
- introduce key education messages including strength, balance and flexibility (SBF) exercise recommendations
- explain and associate SBF exercises with daily activities and the objectives of functional assessment with ease
- apply the principles of training to conduct SBF exercises
- execute SBF exercises correctly and safely
- demonstrate engagement skills
