About This Course
This course aims to equip learners with the necessary skills to interpret and report radiological findings from multiple imaging modalities (e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, nuclear medicine, angiography etc). Learners are also trained on the techniques of verbal discussion of radiological findings. Skills acquired from the course help the learners to: i) improve clinical competency in daily work; ii) apply in the Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) / Final Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) (Part B) Examination; iii) improve their communication skills in multi-disciplinary discussions and meetings.
What You'll Learn
This course is relevant to the healthcare industry, particularly in the field of Diagnostic Radiology. The Final Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) / Final Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) (Part B) Examination is an intermediate professional examination that local residents-in-training in Diagnostic Radiology are required to pass in order to further their specialty training. The course is modelled after the actual examination, with regard to viva room set-up, equipment as well as assessments, in order to provide the learners with an authentic "examination" experience. The course will also help learners to hone their specialty skills, enabling them to provide better and more accurate radiological reports in their routine work. Accurate radiological reporting leads to timely diagnosis and better clinical outcomes for patients.
Entry Requirements
1) Proficient in English
2) MBBS with prior experience in Diagnostic Radiology; passing First FRCR and Final FRCR (Part A) will be helpful.
