About This Course
This course addresses performance gaps in recording arts and live sound techniques by equipping students with essential skills in setting up technical equipment, operating audio mixers, and using various editing software. Participants will gain knowledge in sound principles, including reflection and absorption, and become proficient in microphone types and stereo recording. The course focuses on technology application to enhance job development and industry relevance, preparing learners to efficiently use audio and video editing tools, set up PA systems for live performances, and meet contemporary industry standards.
What You'll Learn
This course provides students with essential knowledge in audio and video production, incorporating technology application to enhance various aspects of production. Students will explore stereo recording techniques for both solo and ensemble performances, acoustics design for optimising performing and practicing spaces, sound reinforcement for live performances, and digital video and audio editing techniques.
Entry Requirements
At least 5 years of performing/teaching experience
and/or
successful outcome of the selection interview
