About This Course

This module is part of the Part-Time Diploma in Business Practice (Hospitality Management), Modular Certificate (Elective 1) in Hospitality Business Management
This diploma program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in the hospitality and tourism industry. It covers areas such Hospitality and Food and Beverage management, as well as equipping learners with skillsets in sustainability and digital transformation. Learners will also acquire skills in project management, customer journey mapping and analytics. Learners will be exposed to how technology works in the hospitality sector and will be able to choose options between hospitality business management or Human Resource Management. These will expose learners to areas in Revenue Management and understanding consumers, as well as managing the Human Resources component of the industry. The program is rounded off with a Capstone project to tie the learnings together.

What You'll Learn

This module will introduce students to the concept of Revenue Management which is a key function in any hospitality business. Students will understand the importance of profitably managing limited and perishable capacity, and concepts related to forecasting, market segmentation, and overbooking.
