This course equips executives and managers with the essential skills to effectively manage budgets and drive organizational success. Learners will learn how to develop and implement operational budgets, analyse financial data, make data-driven decisions, and optimize resource allocation. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of budget management principles, best practices, and tools.

• Comply with key principles of accounting, financial management and budgetary controls in budget preparation
• Comply with the organisation's financial controls throughout the process of budget preparation
• Analyse business function’s strategies, objectives and operational plans
• Derive the business unit’s cash flow requirements and financing needs for the financial year
• Conduct forecasting and budgeting for the financial year
• Compare budget forecasts and estimates with relevant data to highlight discrepancies
• Report on budget forecasts and discrepancies to management using set templates to facilitate decisions on budget allocation
Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
- 2 years of working experience in any sector; and
- Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) 5 or equivalent
*Learners without the right WPLN or equivalent qualifications can be accepted if they have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, subject to the MR’s approval.
