About This Course

In this module, participants will learn about the principles and practices of hygiene in a focus for hygiene promotion. Participants will understand how hygiene education and promotion can be executed in order to help people change their behaviour to use better hygiene practices and prevent health risks.

Health and Hygiene is a module selected from the Part-Time Diploma in Applied Science (Environmental Services and Management). It enables participants to acquire new skills or deepen relevant skills without the need to pursue a full specialist diploma. As this is a stackable course, participants may choose to complete the remaining modules within the validity period, of 2 years, to be awarded the full Part-Time Diploma qualification.

What You'll Learn

In this module, students will learn about the principles and practices of hygiene in a focus for hygiene promotion. Safe hygiene practice includes a broad range of healthy behaviours. Students will also understand how hygiene education and promotion can be executed with the aim for knowledge transfer and understanding of hygiene and associated health risks in order to help people change their behaviour to use better hygiene practices.
