About This Course

This module helps participants understand and apply the theories and principles of communication as well as cultural considerations to ensure that the messages are effectively conveyed. Participants will learn to develop outreach plans and strategies, and effectively communicate their ideas to raise public awareness in environmental conservation.

By the end of the module, students should be able to:
• Identify the theories of environmental behavioral change
• Identify the theories and principles of communication
• Describe the importance of intercultural and ethical considerations for effective communication and outreach
• Apply the various tools and strategies to achieve effective environmental communication and outreach
• Discuss the People, Planet, and Profit (3Ps) best practices in promoting environmental conservation using local and international case studies
