Financial Literacy in Business Management
About This Course
Learners will develop a foundational understanding on the fundamentals of accounting, including the different financial statements in financial reporting, computation of financial ratios, cost accounting and scope of financial analysis.
They will develop skills in applying financial ratios to analyse the short and long-term financial implications and performance of business units, cost-benefits analysis to facilitate business decisions, and using financial data to improve performance.

What You'll Learn
This course in Financial Literacy in Business Management will provide non-finance managers with a strong foundational understanding in accounting and reading financial statements; and equip them with skills in financial analysis to guide decision making, manage their business unit and formulate recommendations to improve financial performance.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements are as follow:
1. A minimum of 3 years working experience
2. At least 1 year at the mentoring, supervisory or managerial level in leading and managing teams
3. Good spoken and written English communication skills
4. Education Level:
• 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English OR
• Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5 OR
• Higher Nitec in a relevant industry
5. Exception for applicants who did not meet the above educational requirements to include:
• Minimum 5 years working experience of which at least 3 years are in mentoring/
supervisory position
• Good spoken and written English, evidenced in interview and Personal Statement
• Good disposition, motivation and well-articulated career plan
• At least 1 GCE ‘N’ Level pass
6. Access to laptop/tablet meeting the minimum system requirements of Zoom Video Conferencing Platform for online assessment via Zoom
