About This Course
The main target learners for this course SEC-SOP-1004-1.1 Crowd and Traffic Control Management (Conduct Crowd and Traffic Control).are security personnel who are assigned to work in premises that requires them to provide security protection through regulation of movement, and to perform frontline duties such as:
1. Prepare for work activities
2. Conduct crowd control
3. Conduct traffic control
Within the primary target sector, security agencies must ensure that their security officers meet the necessary training requirements prior to deployment.
This course seeks to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to perform “Conduct Crowd and Traffic Control” related duties in adherence to the organisational procedures, and to handle incidents involving disorderly crowd behaviour at their site of deployment. Furthermore, all officers must be trained and certified prior to their deployment as necessitated by The Police Licencing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
Recent job opportunities for security officers considering the pandemic, F1 racing, concerts and other events saw the need for professional conduct crowd control officers to regulate and control crowd and traffic movement, and to prevent unauthorized entry at densely populated sites. Hence, the need for training to enable learners to develop skills to meet the demand for such security services.
