Salespeople use key account management techniques to keep existing customers happy, while new ones are brought in. By investing time and energy into the key accounts, a business can grow while establishing more valuable relationships that will last far longer than any one-time sale. With the right approach, businesses should be investing time and energy into their key accounts. Many salespeople in the direct selling industry do not realize that key accounts are their best customers. A key account is defined as "a customer with whom they have developed a long-term relationship." Key accounts are important because they bring repeat business, referrals and support to the company.

A survey done by LinkedIn in 2019 shows that an Enterprise Account Executive’s median annual salary is $182,000 and the job opening is at 62% year on year growth.1 This clearly shows that key account management skills are in demand. Furthermore, Singapore has been emphasizing on the tech industry to position itself as Asia’s technology capital. Hence, this will open up more opportunities for key account management related positions, leading to a demand in these skill sets.

Entry Requirements

Aged between 20 years old and above,. At least 6 months of working experience.. Minimum at least 1 GCE “O” level.. Be able to speak, listen and read English .Able to have an understanding and working knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles and practices.
