What You'll Learn
The programme will equip mid-career individuals, including those in employment, with the right skills to make career transitions in the Food Services sector and prepare them for more complex job functions in specialty tea. The various technical and soft skill courses will equip individuals with skills and competencies to work effectively and efficiently in food and beverage service establishments with a focus in specialty tea.
Learners will deep dive into the six major teas, processing methods and flavour profiles of each unique tea type. The theoretical components will enhance product knowledge of a tea service professional and build confidence in making food and tea pairing recommendations. Learners will also be taught the principles of tea brewing methods and learn to prepare and serve specialty tea in accordance with standard specialty tea service guidelines.
Upon completion of the course, there will be placement facilitation services available and learners can expect placement jobs in specialty cafes, specialty and traditional tea rooms, quick service establishes like bubble tea chains.
